  • Decreased sponsor fees for small businesses

    In its continuing efforts to attract international talent to the Netherlands, the Dutch government has announced that the fees paid by businesses to become a recognised sponsor will change.

  • Work permit requirements for Japanese nationals

    The rules regarding work permits for Japanese nationals in the Netherlands are set to change next year. As of 1 January 2017, Japanese nationals will no longer be exempt from the requirement for a work permit in the Netherlands, and employers of Japanese citizens in the Netherlands will need to apply for a single permit that combines both residence and work permits.

  • Partnership between Diemen and Expatcenter Amsterdam

    On Thursday 23 June, Kajsa Ollongren and Jeroen Klaasse, the Alderpersons for Economic Affairs of Amsterdam and Diemen respectively, will sign an agreement on Diemen’s affiliation to the Expatcenter Amsterdam.
