ABAS Software, a German provider of IT solutions, opens an office in Amstelveen, part of the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area, to service the Western European market.
ABAS Software’s subsidiary, ABAS Business Solutions Nederland (Netherlands), has been created out of a merger of several local companies and will open office on 1 January, 2010. Frans van Laarhoven will lead the new company as General Manager.
One of the reasons to consolidate in the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area is the presence of a large amount of international companies that have their distribution here. With the Dutch partner, ABAS Software wants to strengthen its international presence in the Dutch and Belgian market and support international companies during global roll outs.
ABAS is not the only service provider that aims to benefit from an office in the Amsterdam Area. With the world’s largest concentration of business and logistic service providers in a region of this size, the Amsterdam Area hosts the establishment of relatively new business concepts such as the centralisation of non-core activities in shared service centres and call centres on a scale not seen anywhere else in Europe.
ABAS Software is a global provider of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) solutions for midsize manufacturers and distributors and has over 600 employees and 50 software partners.
