The Amsterdam Metropolitan Area saw a boost to its business flexibility as Regus, the world market leader in flexible workplace solutions, opened its first business centre in Amstelveen on 8 September.
“Many organisations at the moment want to be in a position to react quickly to growth or slump in their business,” said Eduard Schaepman, CEO Regus Benelux at the opening. “This is driving the move to greater flexibility, including in office space.”
Officially opening the centre, Amstelveen mayor Jan van Zanen said the arrival of Regus was a good sign. “In recent years more and more large companies have been establishing in Amstelveen. That is very important for our city and proof that it is growing as a working city.
“The Regus business centre fits into this perfectly and is a real gain for Amstelveen and its business community.”
“We expect great things from the location in Amstelveen,” said Schaepman. “It is easy to reach for entrepreneurs from Amsterdam and the surrounding area, and a good alternative for people working elsewhere in the Randstad region, such as in The Hague, but who do not need to be physically there.
The modern meeting rooms and video conferencing facilities set up in the centre will optimise the efficiency and ease of use.”
The opening in Amstelveen brings the total number of centres established by Regus in Benelux to 48, and Schaepman said the company hopes to pass the 60 location mark by the end of this year.
