At the end of September the 29,000 m2 distribution centre of the French paper and packaging multinational Antalis opened on the Stichtsekant logistics and business park in Almere.
The Dutch divisions of Antalis - ModoVanGelder, Grafisch Papier and Decker Packaging - join forces in this distribution centre, which has been tailored to accommodate the distribution of paper as well as visual communication.
ModoVanGelder and Decker Packaging have also decided to move their head offices there.
The Stichtsekant, located directly on the A27 motorway, easily accessible from Amsterdam, Schiphol, Utrecht and the Gooi region, has been built according to the latest insights in the area of sustainable construction, using innovative materials.
Antalis is the largest European group in the distribution of communications support materials (Print & Office Paper, Visual Communication & Packaging). Its new Almere site is the most advanced, as well as the largest, distribution centre for paper and packaging in the Netherlands.
Almere’s Mayor Annemarie Jorritsma praised Antalis for its bold investment in these difficult economic times, and announced herself pleased with Antalis’ contribution towards reinforcing the role of Almere as a logistics hotspot.
Trade and logistics are and will remain key areas for the further growth of Almere, the fastest growing city in the Netherlands.
