To be able to realise this objective, HFC Plaza concentrates on the following activities:
To provide office space against favourable prices to (starting) organisations and NGO’s which are active in the financial sector;
To provide general and technical support services like company support and ICT services;
Information desk to address issues by and with the government (in which tax authorities, the ministry of Finance, - Justice- Economic Affairs and Social Affairs, the Dutch Central Bank and the Securities Market regulator work together);
To stimulate contact between entrepreneurs, potential financiers and partners;
To stimulate diversity amongst residents by providing an optimal mix of products and services, which contributes to entrepreneurship, innovation and knowledge creation in the financial sector:
To provide specific services which are relevant in the financial sector, for instance outsourcing of the back office, risk management, custodian and compliance functions
Residents which guide (starting) entrepreneurs in receiving requisite approvals and permits
The main target group is the group of starting entrepreneurs in the financial sector. HFC Plaza also offers space for organisations which are active in the financial sector and which contribute to and make use of the synergy of knowledge, innovation and entrepreneurship:
Non Governmental Organisations (NGO’s)
Small / Middle large organisations (maximum of 20 workplaces)
Organisations which require an annex (maximum of 20 workplaces) at HFC Plaza
Next to the different market parties (profit and non-profit) which will be located at HFC Plaza, all other activities of Foundation Holland Financial Centre will be located at the Plaza. It concerns the executive board, the Pension Desk and Centre for Finance & Sustainability. Further the Duisenberg School of Finance and representatives of Netherlands Authority for the Financial Markets (Securities Market regulator) and the Dutch Central Bank intend to be present at the location.
HFC Plaza will be located at the ‘Zuidas’ in the Amsterdam Area (the financial and judicial interchange). The intended location concerns the Amsterdam Symphony office building. The Plaza intends to open in September 2009.
