Tech leaders, investors and entrepreneurs gather in Amsterdam

On 26-27 May 2016, Amsterdam played host to the 11th annual conference hosted by The Next Web (TNW). This gathering brings together 20,000 of the world’s top technology leaders, venture capitalists and entrepreneurs.

The event also coincides with the final two days of the StartupFest Europe, a nationwide Dutch event that will feature top names from the corporate world, such as Apple’s Tim Cook, and Eric Schmidt of Google’s parent company Alphabet.

The Next Web Europe

The Next Web’s annual conference and Tech Week are taking place during the same week. Amsterdam will be abuzz with events, get-togethers, meetings and pitches, cementing its status as the startup capital of Europe’s West Coast. There will be more than 10 stages, 500 exhibitor pavilions, and 145 events about the future of technology, innovation, marketing, communication, and imagination.

This year’s TNW conference will again be held in Amsterdam’s Westerpark, offering a festival atmosphere with rolling kitchens, demos, and workshops. Of course, there will also be inspiring speakers and all the opportunities one would expect at a conference that is all about entrepreneurship.

The conference will feature leaders from global giants such as Vimeo, Reddit, Vine, Amazon, Facebook, and Adyen. Despite the impressive line-up, the conference remains an intimate tech event, with a relaxed atmosphere to enhance the networking opportunities.

Tech Week

Leading up to the conference, TNW Tech Week will begin on 23 May, and last until 27 May. Tech Week will include events such as TheNextWomen Innovation Summit on 23 May, which brings together more than 1000 of the world’s most innovative female entrepreneurs, business leaders and investors, with speakers ranging from Queen Máxima of the Netherlands to the COO of Booking.com.
