The best locations in Amsterdam

Unique Venues of Amsterdam is a new partnership between Amsterdam’s leading event and conference locations, including the Van Gogh Museum, the Beurs van Berlage, the Royal Concertgebouw, the EYE Film Institute, Science Center NEMO, and many others.

The association was established in 2014 as a collaboration between six venues, and has since expanded to include over 20 locations, which can be viewed on the Unique Venues of Amsterdam website. This special selection of venues represents a diverse range in terms of size, history, and possible uses. The groups has so far focused on mid-sized venues.

Promoting Amsterdam’s hidden gems

The goal is to promote these venues at home and abroad, and to assist meeting planners and event managers who want to hold an event in Amsterdam. Unique Venues works closely with the Amsterdam Marketing team that is specialised in the MICE sector (meetings, incentives, conferences, and events).

As Michiel Lindenbergh, the chairman of Unique Venues of Amsterdam, told the Dutch conference news site Congreswereld (Dutch link), “The positive effects of this partnership have already been proven several times. We make it very easy for clients to find locations in Amsterdam, and this partnership gives the organisers of the conferences and events a great deal of confidence.”

“There are many beautiful locations in Amsterdam that are not very well known," he added, and this group will help to change that. He also said that seven other venues are interested in joining the partnership.

Amsterdam perfect site for events of all sizes

Amsterdam is an ideal conference destination, hosting hundreds of world-class congresses, conventions, events and trade fairs every year. The Union of International Associations (UIA) has named Amsterdam as one of the top 10 international conference locations.
