Light and spacious new headquarters

On 19 March, French IT consultancy Atos opened the doors of its new headquarters for the Benelux and the Nordic countries, located in Amstelveen. In attendance were the Mayor of Amstelveen Mirjam van 't Veld, and the CEO of Atos in the UK & The Nordics, Rob Pols. Visitors were also able take a virtual tour of the building using virtual reality glasses.

Atos is a French IT and consultancy company that works in the fields of system development, cloud operations, big data, cyber-security, and payment processing. Headquartered in Paris, Atos has 86,000 employees in 66 countries.

Amsterdam as a calling card

“We are very proud of our new headquarters,” said Mr. Pols. “Our headquarters visualises who we are and how we look at the world, at new ways of working, and how we base our solutions on the latest technological innovations.” The office is centrally located in the Randstad, which offers great opportunities in terms of recruiting new talent, the company said.

Sustainability a key goal

The new part of the building that was modified was certified with the highest sustainability rating for existing buildings. “With a view to sustainability, we have made a conscious choice for an existing office instead of a new building,” Mr Pols said. There are solar panels on the roof, a heat recovery system, and LED lighting throughout the building.

The new headquarters creates a flexible working environment, equipped with the latest technologies, with different workspaces for different tasks. These new ideas and technologies allow for more collaboration with colleagues in other countries, and the meeting rooms have the latest tools to allow for communication with teams all over the world.
