Combining two iconic properties

The 238-room W Amsterdam will be located in two iconic properties: the former Telephone Exchange building and the KAS Bank. The hotel will bring the two buildings’ historical structures back to their original state, while also incorporating contemporary and luxurious features. It was designed by Office WINHOV and BK Architects.

Part of Amsterdam’s energetic cultural scene

Directly behind the famous Royal Palace, the hotel will be in the middle of Amsterdam’s energetic cultural scene. W Amsterdam will be adding to that mix with a full calendar of exclusive happenings showcasing the latest in design, fashion, and music. Guides will be on hand to provide guests with insider access to the hottest venues and experiences that the Dutch capital has to offer. The hotel will also house the X Bank, a creative incubator concept space that connects local talents in design, fashion, and music.

Amsterdam a leader in the hotel industry

Amsterdam is expected to remain one of the top ten best-performing cities in the European hotel industry. In the last few years, Amsterdam has proven to be a highly attractive location for hotels that operate in the top segment of the market. In 2014, the legendary Waldorf Astoria opened a 94-room hotel on the prestigious Herengracht canal, and Hyatt opened its first Andaz Hotel in Amsterdam in 2012.
