Global expansion

According to an article published by marketing and media website The Drum, VivaKi’s new Amsterdam base will “centralise core activities including addressable buying across display, video, mobile and social media, and will support all local European markets”.  The agency, owned by Publicis, plans to expand further into Europe and opening an office in Amsterdam fits this growth plan superbly.

Home to leading brands and advertising agencies

Setting up an office in Amsterdam will surely prove beneficial for VivaKi because they move into an area with a high density of innovative advertising companies. High-level campaigns developed and realised for renowned brands such as Coca-Cola, Microsoft, Heineken and the Discovery Channel are frequently conducted from the Amsterdam Area. These clients are being served by leading advertising companies that have set up shop, such as Wieden+Kennedy, 180, KesselsKramer and Amsterdam Worldwide.

Digital Dutch

Moreover, the Amsterdam Area is very well connected digitally. Nowhere else do people make as much use of social networks like Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn as here in the Netherlands, allowing advertising companies and other operators in the media and gaming industry to experiment with social media. What’s more, 60% of all Forbes 2000 companies active in ICT have established an office in the Amsterdam Area, including world players such as Microsoft, Google, Cisco, Tata, IBM, Oracle, Capgemini, Zarafa, Infosys and many more.

The Dutch software industry is also very well developed. The Netherlands is among the top 10 worldwide markets in terms of application software products. According to data compiled by the NFIA, Dutch ICT software companies export 1.9 billion euros in software products. The industry is responsible for as many as 192,000 jobs, of which 62,000 are in software development and 14,000 in R&D.
