Amsterdam as key part of European expansion

The UK-based technology recruitment firm Next Ventures is continuing its European expansion with the opening of Next Ventures BV in Amsterdam.

Founded in 2001, Next Ventures has its headquarters in London, UK. Its niche focus is on Large Enterprise Technology, and its clients include IBM, KPMG, Deloitte, Ericsson and Oracle. For three consecutive years, Next Ventures has scored a place on The Sunday TimesFast Track 100’, which ranks the UK’s fastest-growing private companies.

Next Ventures has already opened subsidiary offices throughout the world, from Switzerland to Brazil. With this new announcement, Amsterdam will be added to the mix. As the co-founder of Next Ventures of Richard Lacey said, “We identified the regions where our specialist niche technology recruitment expertise could be capitalised upon, and subsequently opened new offices in the heart of both Amsterdam and Munich’s cities to provide optimum support for our expanding client bases.”

The new Amsterdam branch will be headed by Anasja Juinen, who has been appointed Country Manager Netherlands.

A city that does more to match employers with job-seekers

There are many recruitment agencies in Amsterdam, and many of these agencies specialize, either in finance, ICT, creative or engineering. But Amsterdam also provides a unique business ecosystem that is perfectly tailored to matching job opportunities with international talent.

The city’s Expatcenter provides a one-stop-shop service for both employers and employees, and helps not only with streamlining the necessary paperwork, but also with other expat-related issues such as taxes, healthcare, education, parking, and childcare.

The city has even created its own job site, which offers thousands of non-Dutch speaking jobs in the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area. The site also features advice on how to write a Dutch CV, start a business, and work with recruitment agencies. The city also hosts many job fairs and events, such as the International Talent Event Amsterdam (ITEA), which provides a wide range of unique career opportunities.
