Coffee world to converge in Amsterdam in 2018

The event will take place at the RAI Amsterdam from 19-21 June of 2018. This will be the first time that World of Coffee is taking place in Amsterdam.

World of Coffee is Europe’s largest coffee gathering, and one of the world’s pre-eminent coffee events. It brings together thousands of coffee professionals, enthusiasts, and competitors for a celebration of speciality coffee. Over the last few years, the show has grown in stature and size, consistently attracting more than 5,000 visitors, 200 exhibitors, and 1,000 competitors. The event also features a programme of workshops, social activities, and the exciting spectacle of the World Coffee Championships.

The event is owned and organised by the Speciality Coffee Association of Europe (SCAE), an association for the speciality coffee industry that represents the interests of more than 3,000 members around the world.

Amsterdam the ideal conference location

An event of this size is a welcome addition to Amsterdam’s broad conference landscape, which already hosts many of the world's leading conferences, congresses, conventions, events, and (trade) fairs every year.

In step with this large demand, the amount of hotel capacity in the Amsterdam area has grown significantly; Amsterdam Metropolitan Area currently has more than 37,000 rooms, with more planned in the next five years.

The Union of International Associations (UIA) has named Amsterdam as one of the top ten international conference locations, and the city has also been recognised as among the top ten most important commercial centres in the world and the fourth-most influential business centre in Europe.
