Two more towers for Amsterdam

Team V Architecture has designed the towers, and this spectacular project is expected to be completed in 2018. A short video on the website of the new congress hotel shows the design of the new towers.
The development is part of the rebirth of an impressive business and leisure location opposite Amsterdam Central Station, across the River IJ. The area is already home to the eye-catching EYE Film Institute and many up-and-coming restaurants. Two new towers will be built to join the A’DAM tower, which is currently being transformed into a stunning business and leisure location.

Convention city

With a total of 52,000 square metres and 600 four-star hotel rooms, the new Maritim hotel will be one of Europe’s largest congress hotels. This is certain to boost Amsterdam’s status as a convention hotspot. Thanks to a significant increase of the number of international congresses held in the city in 2014, Amsterdam climbed four spots and now ranks 8th on the list of the most successful congress cities in the world. In 2014, the ICCA – the International Congress and Convention Association – counted 133 international conferences in Amsterdam. The number of international congresses taking place in Amsterdam has been growing steadily over the years, and increasing the hosting capacity means that the city’s position is sure to strengthen even further.
