Room for further expansion
The German logistics provider Kuehne + Nagel has announced that it has expanded its presence at Schiphol Logistics Park. After the company opened two warehouses in 2014, Kuehne + Nagel has now also established an office at Schiphol Logistics Park. The news was announced on the website of the SADC (in Dutch), stating that the new office allows Kuehne + Nagel to further expand and streamline all its operations at Schiphol Airport Logistics Park. The company operates airfreight operations here. Strategically, it’s a wise choice since Schiphol Logistics Park is located just five minutes from the airport apron and will be directly connected to it via the Dedicated Cargo Lane in the future. This makes it the ideal location for such large-scale, airport-oriented logistics enterprises as Kuehne + Nagel.
Logistics gateway to Europe
With this expansion, Kuehne + Nagel further strengthens its position as a logistics service provider in the Netherlands. On its website
, the company states that it currently operates a total of 450.000 square meters of warehousing space at 24 locations across the country, making clear the reason for such a strong presence here: more than 50% of all goods entering the European Union, it states, do so through the Netherlands, making the country the logistics gateway to Europe.
