Optimal base to exploit business opportunities
The new office will serve as a base for the company’s sales and professional services teams to work on enabling the company to benefit from the projected growth of cloud solutions. Due to increased awareness of the importance of data security and privacy in Europe, the area provides CipherCloud with many business opportunities. The company expects the most interest in cloud security measures in the financial services, healthcare, telecommunications and government verticals. It aims to exploit these opportunities from their new Amsterdam office.
In a press release
Pravin Kothari, founder and CEO of CipherCloud, comments: “We continue to invest resources to grow our presence in Europe. Our approach is a country-specific on-the-ground strategy to enable closer collaboration with prospects and customers from the very beginning of the relationship. At the same time, Jeroen Blaas, our General Manager for Europe, brings to bear more than a decade of enterprise technology experience in this region. With Jeroen's deep understanding of the market needs, we look forward to enabling customers to properly navigate the privacy, security and residency requirements for data in the cloud."
CipherCloud’s choice for Amsterdam as a base makes sense: the city is a thriving tech hub, located in the world’s digitally most connected economy. Amsterdam has a global mindset when it comes to developing innovative tech companies, and it offers an exceptional labour pool: the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area is home to 250,000 experienced ICT professionals, and 55% of them hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree. The outstanding quality of life also continues to attract top talent to the area.
