Iron Data announced that it has expanded its operations in the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area to accommodate the growth of the company in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.
Iron Data is relocating its European operations to a new, larger facility in Hoofddorp (part of the Amsterdam Area).
Iron Data provides multi-mode freight payment and audit services, complimented by a series of transportation-based outsourced services and business intelligence. Niek Bloemendaal, Vice President of the EMEA region, commented: “In our business, given the emphasis on outsourcing, it is all about people. And, we have been very fortunate to continually recruit the best talent in Europe. The new facility, and associated amenities, complement our strong Team and positions us for ongoing growth throughout the EMEA region.”
Iron Data’s decision reflects the position of the Amsterdam Area as the undisputed gateway to Europe and beyond. The Amsterdam Area is an optimal base to enter and further penetrate the EMEA region. Here are some reasons why:
Strategic geographical location: the region has always been a major transit hub for people, goods, capital and services to and from the 350 million potential customers of the European continent.
Excellent infrastructure: within a 50 km radius are major port complexes. The region offers good international rail links, and close proximity to Amsterdam Airport Schiphol.
Frontrunner in globalisation: the well-developed Dutch services industry has a global orientation. Whether you need knowledge on how to organise your logistics, ICT, tax, legal issues or sales & marketing in Europe, in the Amsterdam area you find all the important global players.
From the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area, Iron Data plans to expand further into the EMEA region. Jeff Smock, CEO of Iron Data, said, “We’re very pleased with our growth in the European market. Niek and the Team have done a great job expanding the core offering to meet the requirements of the complex EMEA market. Along with our significant presence in the Asia Pacific and Americas regions, the expanded European footprint now solidifies our global reach.”
Iron Data, originating in Atlanta, Georgia (USA) offers a suite of solutions, called Intelligent Process Management, designed to assess, improve, manage and monitor challenging operational process issues for clients in two key verticals: transportation/logistics and the public sector. The company announced its decision to expand, in a press release.
