US-based software developer, Carlson Software, established an independent subsidiary, Carlson EMEA BV, in the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area. The new office, located in Almere, will provide support and expand Carlson’s presence in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
“We see a steadily growing market of Carlson software users in Europe and the Middle East,” says Goyvaerts, who will be leading the operation. “The interest in Carlson for its data collection, CAD-design software, and machine control solutions has grown substantially over the past 10 years. It makes sense to establish an office in Europe with experts speaking the local language and knowing local market requirements. Plus, customers will benefit with the eliminated time zone,” Goyvaerts continues.
The Amsterdam area is an ideal base from which to enter or expand into the EMEA region (Europe, the Middle East and Africa). Due to its strategic geographical location the region has always been a major transit hub for people, capital, and goods and services to and from the 350 million potential customers in Europe. As Mr. Goyvaerts remarks, “The Amsterdam area offers a multilingual, internationally oriented and highly qualified workforce. More than 80% speak English and approximately 40% have a university degree or higher professional education.”
Founded in 1983, Carlson Software is a developer of technically advanced design software for land surveying, civil engineering, construction and mining industries.
