According to research done by Ernst & Young, within Europe the Netherlands ranks in the top ten of the most attractive countries for foreign investment.
The amount of investment projects in the Netherlands rose to 6% in 2010. Investment projects were undertaken across many fields: logistics, research and development, sales and marketing, manufacturing and others.
The Ernst & Young research also shows that the Netherlands scores particularly well as a destination for company headquarters. These findings are consistent with the results of an amsterdam inbusiness 2010 report which shows that the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area is one of the most popular destinations within the Netherlands for company headquarters.
Company movements in 2010 indicate that the combination of global accessibility, fiscal climate, available talent, high quality of life and innovative services on offer, make the Amsterdam Area an attractive location to relocate.
According to the research the Netherlands is proving to be a lucrative destination to set up data centers. Of the 122 ICT sector companies across the country, the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area boasts 24, largely due to the region’s excellent ICT infrastructure.
Overall, the research states that within the Netherlands, Amsterdam is the most popular location to invest in.
