Recently, Terremark, a global supplier of IT infrastructure services, selected Amsterdam Airport Schiphol as the location for its new data centre. This event triggered business newspaper Wall Street Journal to praise Amsterdam Schiphol Airport’s city in an article.

When announcing the establishment of the new data centre in the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area, Manuel D. Medina, CEO of Terremark Worldwide Inc. said: "Schiphol is a major European hub and a very strategic and strong business location, with an extensive network of destinations. Sven Bertens, an Amsterdam-based researcher with Jones Lang LaSalle is quoted in the article as saying “Companies pick Schiphol over other airport cities such as Paris, Frankfurt or Heathrow, in part because of favourable Dutch tax laws.”
