Netriplex, a provider of secure, off-site data centre solutions including colocation, dedicated hosting, grid/utility and cloud computing services, expanded with the creation of two new data centres in Amsterdam and London.
In a press release Jonathan Hoppe, President and Chief Technology Officer of the American firm, Netriplex, elaborates: “This infrastructure build-out is in response to the expansion of our clients’ needs, and the global nature of business today".
Netriplex is one of the many ICT companies which have set up data centres in Amsterdam. The Amsterdam Metropolitan Area is a popular location for data centres and enjoyed in 2010 the highest take up of data centre capacity in seven years, surpassing all other European cities except London.
Amsterdam is one of the main locations for data centres primarily due to its proximity to the Amsterdam Internet Exchange AMS-IX, the largest data transport hub in the world, known for its superior quality and low cost.
