DotNetNuke Corporation, the company behind the most widely adopted Web Content Management Platform for Microsoft.NET, has chosen Amsterdam as the location for their new European headquarters. The new office has been in operation since 12 July 2011.
DotNetNuke’s Amsterdam base will provide their Netherlands customers the convenience of a local presence, and opening up shop in the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area allows the company to better connect with existing and potential customers across the entire European market.
According to the company, Amsterdam represents a central location with close proximity to major northern and western European countries, and it’s also home to strong DotNetNuke and .NET user communities.
Several facts back up the notion that the Amsterdam Area is a very strategically attractive place for companies to expand their European market share. The region has always been, and remains a major transit hub for people, goods, capital and services to and from the 350 million potential customers across the European continent. The Amsterdam Area has an excellent infrastructure: within a 50 km radius you can find major port complexes, good international rail links, and of course Amsterdam Airport Schiphol.
Moreover, the region is home to the largest data transport hub in the world: The Amsterdam Internet Hub (AMS-IX) is the world’s largest and most stable digital exchange platform, making it an ideal location for DotNetNuke’s new European headquarters.
