Green IT specialist Basis Bay will open its first European office in Amsterdam in October 2011. Asian firm Basis Bay says that by opening an Amsterdam office, it will be the first Green IT services and solutions provider to enter the European IT market.
Basis Bay supplies a wide range of Green IT solutions and services including Green Data Centres, Cloud-based solutions and Green IT consultancy.
Amsterdam is the perfect place for companies like Basis Bay to set up an office to enter the European IT market due to the advantageous tax climate and excellent digital infrastructure.
Environmentally conscious initiatives are also figuring prominently elsewhere in the Amsterdam Area e.g. Europe’s most sustainable office was opened recently in Hoofddorp.
Amsterdam attracts numerous major international ICT companies to the Amsterdam Area. The city is quickly becoming the software and IT capital of Europe. More than 50% of all Forbes 2,000 companies active in ICT have an office in the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area.
