The Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced a plan to open a Hyatt Place hotel in Hoofddorp, near Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. The Hyatt Place Amsterdam Airport is expected to open to the public in 2013.
Hyatt Place is one of eight different hotel brands operated by the internationally-renowned Hyatt chain. This particular variant caters specifically to the needs of business travellers, providing a range of services in a carefully designed, high-tech and contemporary environment.
Already a successful concept throughout North America, the new property will be the first Hyatt Place hotel to open in Europe, signalling a move by Hyatt to expand its services within Europe.
The Hyatt Place Amsterdam Airport will have 330 rooms and will be the second Hyatt property to open in the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area. Hyatt’s spectacular design hotel Andaz Amsterdam, situated in a former library in the city centre, is due to open in 2012.
“Hyatt Place Amsterdam Airport will be the first Hyatt Place branded hotel in Europe, and Hyatt is delighted to be working on this important brand introduction in such a significant gateway city and market,” said Stephen G. Haggerty, global head of real estate and development for the Hyatt Hotels Corporation.
“Europe, which is the destination of more than 50% of international travellers, is key to our growth strategy and we are confident that the Hyatt Place experience will have the same appeal to travellers in Europe as it does in the U.S.”
Hyatt plans to open more Place hotels in other parts of Europe in the near future, although specific locations have yet to be made public.
