The hotel business in Amsterdam increased its profitability to €68,58 Gross Operating Profit per Available Room (GOPPAR). Only Hotels in London and Zurich have a higher GOPPAR. Occupancy rates were also up by 6%.

Demand for hotel rooms in Amsterdam is expected to continue to increase in the foreseeable future. The City of Amsterdam is rising to the challenge with plans to build a vast number of new hotel rooms by 2015. New hotel rooms will be available in all one to five star categories.
