As of 10 June 2011, visitors can stay in the 4-star Eden Amsterdam Manor Hotel. The hotel is conveniently located near the Oosterpark and Amsterdam’s vibrant city centre is only a few minutes away.
The Eden Amsterdam Manor Hotel is a completely renovated historic building which was once a hospital where football legend Johan Cruijff was born.
Today the former hospital has 125 unique hotel rooms. Guests can make use of modern facilities while enjoying the well-preserved traditional atmosphere.
Many hospitality initiatives, such as this historical hotel, are being developed in Amsterdam Oost (East).
Alderperson Van Spijk from Amsterdam Oost emphasised the abundance of opportunities for entrepreneurs in the hotel industry in the eastern part of the city during a networking event organised by the Amsterdam Hotel Development Intermediary in May 2011.
By August 2011, 1,700 hotel rooms will have been created in the district and the City Council plans to double this number in the future. Amsterdam Oost has a lot to offer tourists, such as the Tropenmuseum, one of Europe's leading ethnographic museums and Blijburg, Amsterdam’s most popular urban beach.
The market for hotels is booming in the whole of Amsterdam with demand for hotel rooms expected to rise substantially each year for the foreseeable future. Amsterdam is rising to the challenge by building thousands of one-star to five-star hotel rooms, to be completed by 2015.
Amsterdam welcomes new hotel initiatives. We'd like to hear your ideas. In return, our new Hotel Development Intermediary will tell you about the latest opportunities in the city's flourishing hospitality sector.
