Caisson Investment Management, an independent investment management group, has opened its first office in Amsterdam, providing fund and asset management capability to clients in the Netherlands and Europe.
The new Dutch team will work closely with London headquarters. Caisson Netherlands has secured an asset management contract and is actively bidding on further investment portfolios, according to a press release from the company.
Vincent Spruijt and Jouke Boomsma are heading the team in Amsterdam. Vincent Spruijt, "I have had the benefit of working with a number of the Caisson team for some years at Teesland and then at Valad and I am excited about being part of an investment management group who wish to create a research-backed, high quality service to clients."
The opening of the Caisson office in the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area is a boost for the area’s unique and richly diverse financial cluster. In comparison to most European financial centres, the influx of newcomers to the financial sector in Amsterdam each year has resulted in above average, value-added growth.
In addition to major Dutch banks and providers of combined banking and insurance services, such as the ING Group, ABN AMRO and Delta Lloyd, the Amsterdam Area has approximately 60 foreign bank branches and more than 100 national and international insurance companies. Diverse professional service providers offer their expertise and access to global financial networks.
