Amsterdam attracts top-notch marketing team

A new cross-agency unit “Team Volvo” will be based in Amsterdam.

Team Volvo

Amsterdam

Team Volvo brings together “the best people” from EuroRSCG 4D (Amstelveen), Arnold (Boston) and SapientNitro (Shanghai) to work on Volvo. Team Volvo will create and co-ordinate campaigns for Volvo from offices in North America and China, as well as the 30-strong Amsterdam-based hub for Europe. Amsterdam’s team will be headed by Jorian Murray, a founding partner of Dye Holloway Murray.

Team Volvo will be based in Amsterdam with offices in Boston and China. Initially, the Team will work out of Euro RSCG 4D's offices in Amstelveen, but Volvo is negotiating a new space in the heart of Amsterdam.

Volvo chose Amsterdam because the city is situated in the same time zone as Volvo's corporate headquarters in Sweden. The manufacturer of automotive vehicles adds that Amsterdam boasts a "cosmopolitan culture and as diverse talent as you need."

Creative centre of Europe

Jorian Murray will leave his current base in London. He comments, "I will be working with three world-class agencies on a brand that is at an incredibly exciting stage of its development, in a city that is fast establishing itself as the creative centre of Europe."

Team Volvo joins other innovative companies in Amsterdam, such as StrawberryFrog and One Agency. Lost Boys International announced their relocation from Stockholm to Amsterdam recently as well.

Huge pool of creative talent

The advertising market is flourishing as a result of the influx of creative talent, proximity to a vast client base and cosmopolitan atmosphere. Annual growth has averaged 6% in the last decade.

More than 8,250 creative companies are currently housed in the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area, employing 55,000 people.
