Fifteen Indian Information and Communications Technology (ICT) companies attended a trade mission in the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area on 9 December 2010. amsterdam inbusiness prepared several information sessions, as a welcome to these companies and their delegates and as a means of showcasing the wealth of opportunities the area has to offer.
Activities during the mission included company visits, networking and presentations on topics such as taxes and immigration, which are relevant to international companies establishing business in the Netherlands.
The delegation is part of NASSCOM, the premier trade body and the chamber of commerce of the IT-BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) industries in India.
NASSCOM's member and associate member companies are primarily in the business of software development, software services, software products, consulting services, BPO services, e-commerce & web services, engineering services offshoring, animation and gaming. Their membership base constitutes over 95% of the industry revenues in India and employs over 2.24 million professionals.
