Amsterdam attracts Indian tech firms
Not only large Indian companies are attracted to the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area, but small and medium-sized firms are also discovering this unique location.

According to the Indian newspaper The Hindu Business Line, small and medium-sized Indian ICT firms are following in the footsteps of their peers and finding their way to the Netherlands.
A journalist from The Hindu Business Line was invited to a National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM) trade mission that recently visited the Amsterdam area. NASSCOM is the premier trade body and the chamber of commerce of the IT-BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) industries in India.
amsterdam inbusiness prepared several information sessions as well as a welcome event for the companies and their delegates to showcase the wealth of opportunities that the Amsterdam Area has to offer.
The Indian press reports that several companies are contemplating setting up shop in the Netherlands following the successful trade mission.
Amsterdam Metropolitan Area
The Amsterdam Area is the most popular destination for Indian firms in the Netherlands and the Indian community is the fastest growing foreign business community there. Due to its strategic location and excellent infrastructure, the Amsterdam Area is the perfect base to access the European market. However, the Amsterdam Area has lots more to offer Indian companies and their staff.
Accessibility
The Amsterdam Area is notably accessible for Indian visitors. Amsterdam Schiphol Airport offers a large number of direct flights to both intercontinental and European destinations, including daily flights to several Indian cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Hyderabad (KLM/Air France, Delta Alliance).
Cost efficiency
Amsterdam is a very attractive location for Indian companies in terms of labour costs. It has the lowest social contribution (12,5%) paid by the employer in Western Europe. The Netherlands also offers attractive labour costs and performance incentives compared to the UK, Belgium and Germany, according to a competitiveness benchmark published by Ernst & Young International Location Advisory Services.
