Despite the wet weather on 27 February 2011, many Indian expats visited the VRA Cricket Club House in Amstelveen to follow the progress of their national team at the ICC Cricket World Cup in Bangalore, India. The special screening of the match against England, and an adjoining party, was organised by the Indian Expat Society in collaboration with amsterdam inbusiness.
Indian cricket fans from the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area came together to watch the second half of the India versus England match on a big screen. As they viewed the action, attendees enjoyed free Indian snacks and drinks.
The party also provided Indian expats and their families the opportunity to come together and socialise in an informal atmosphere. Several photographs taken at the event can be viewed on the Indian Expat Society website.
