The Korean manufacturer of electric vehicles, CT&T, will enter the European market and establish headquarters in Amsterdam.
CT&T will supply the European continent with electric vehicles from its new headquarters in Amsterdam. The company announced its intent to sell their e-Zone electric car a low-speed automobile suitable for use in cities, already available in the U.S., China and Japan.
The Amsterdam Metropolitan Area supports sustainability and the City of Amsterdams new subsidy scheme encourages business to adopt sustainable transportation. The subsidy scheme reimburses businesses for up to 50% of the cost of purchasing an electric vehicle and demonstrates Amsterdam's commitment to sustainability.
Over 200 electric charging points will be installed in the city for electric vehicles, including motorcycles and boats. Amsterdam will expand official use of the electric vehicle as well.
Amsterdam is one of the most eco-friendly cities in the world according to Mercer consulting, ranking 13th this year, after cities such as Vancouver, Auckland & Vienna. Previous research identified Amsterdam as one of the least congested cities in Europe and the most bike-friendly capital of the world.
