Education

While the Dutch have a strong educational system, there is also the possibility for expat families to opt for international schooling for their children.

Amsterdam is home to two universities with some 3,500 lecturers and 37,000 students, 17 higher vocational institutions with some 29,000 students, and secondary education is provided by over 60 schools and school communities. There are also over 200 primary schools and 50 for special needs.
