The Amsterdam Area offers an international atmosphere, a favourable legal and fiscal climate, a well-educated and multilingual workforce, and a social climate and quality of life that makes expatriate staff feel at home. Further, the progressive and socially-oriented social atmosphere provides a supportive environment for many NGO’s, non-profits and foundations.

The Amsterdam Area is also highly accessible, with Amsterdam Airport Schiphol serving over 200 destinations worldwide and direct train connections to Paris, Frankfurt, Brussels, Berlin and Basel. With its many four- and five-star hotels, Amsterdam is also an excellent congress destination. Several hotels offer conference possibilities and for events large or small there is a wide choice of venues, from the historical to the high-tech. English is widely spoken, and many people have a command of several other languages.

Many large internationals organisations have chosen the Amsterdam Area to establish their headquarters or branch offices.
