Interesting excursion to Volendam, an old picturesque fishing village on the shore of the former Zuiderzee and to the former island of Marken, which has now been connected to the mainland by a dike. Some inhabitants of both places still wear the traditional costumes. Included in this excursion is a visit of a cheese farm, and drive through typical Dutch scenery via the small historical town of Monnickendam.
