Café Restaurant OPEN

Restaurant Open occupies a truly unique location, just a 10-minute walk from Amsterdam Central Station. It is curiously perched on top of an original 1920s rotating railway bridge by the Westerdoks Island. The airy, modern structure featuring floor to ceiling windows and a contemporary interior gives a memorable backdrop to the exciting and thoughtfully prepared dishes.

The chefs at Open focus on French and Italian cuisine inspired by fresh, local and seasonal produce. In addition to the varied á la carte menu, you can also enjoy the three, four of five course Chef's menu that changes weekly.

The name Open refers to the open character of the building created by the large glass windows, which offer a wonderful view of the city and the IJ. But open also refers to the layout of the kitchen that lets guests get a complete view of the preparation area and staff, and perhaps even insight into a few of their culinary secrets.

On sunny days, lunch and dinner are also served outside on the monumental Landhoofd bridge terrace. Drinks are served at the more intimate terrace by the water.
